Carrying without a sheath
Not every tool needs a belt sheath. Leatherman's removable pocket clip and lanyard ring sets fit the Wave+, Charge+, Surge and several other models, replacing a screw in the handle with a stainless clip that holds the tool at the top of a pocket, and a ring that takes a lanyard or carabiner. For tools such as the Free series and Skeletool, replacement and upgraded clips are available in the original fitment.
Lanyards and tethers
A lanyard ring is essential for anyone working at height, on water or over machinery, where a dropped tool is lost or dangerous. Paired with a coiled or retractable tether, the ring keeps the tool attached to the user without getting in the way of using it. Lanyard rings also give a secure attachment point for a keyring tool or a strap cutter.
Fitting
Clips and rings fit specific models and use the existing screw holes in the tool's handle; product pages list the compatible tools. Fitting takes a few minutes with the Torx driver supplied or the tool's own driver, and does not affect the manufacturer warranty.
