Why genuine parts

Leatherman and Gerber tools are designed so that the components that wear, wire cutters, clips, scales and sheaths, can be replaced by the user. Genuine parts are made to the same specification and steel as the originals, fit without modification and keep the manufacturer warranty intact. Third-party parts rarely fit correctly and can void the warranty on the tool.

Replaceable wire cutters

The most-used feature on a full-size multi-tool is usually the wire cutter, and on the Wave+, Charge+, Surge and MUT the cutter inserts are removable. A set of replacement 154CM cutters, fitted with the tool's own driver or a small Torx bit, restores the tool to new in a few minutes and is far quicker than a warranty return.

Scales, clips, rings and sheaths

Handle scales for tools such as the Free series and Charge, pocket clips, lanyard rings and the sheath originally supplied with each tool are all available as genuine spares, so a tool that has lost its sheath or clip is quickly back to a complete kit.

Warranty and repairs

Leatherman tools carry a 25-year warranty and Gerber tools a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
