Tool Sleeves & Holsters

Sleeves are the minimalist way to carry a multi-tool. A slim nylon or leather cover slips over a pocket tool, keeping it clean, stopping the frame or clip from wearing through fabric and making the tool easier to find in a bag. Light enough to forget, and the right option for anyone who carries a tool in a pocket rather than on a belt.

What a sleeve does

A pocket multi-tool carried loose collects lint in its hinges, wears a hole in the pocket lining and rattles against keys and a phone. A sleeve solves all three with a few grams of material. Most are a simple open-top pocket in nylon or leather with an elastic or stud closure, sized to a specific tool or range of tools, with no belt loop to add bulk.

Nylon and leather sleeves

Nylon sleeves are light, washable and the better choice for work and outdoor use where the tool gets wet or muddy. Leather sleeves are softer and quieter and suit a tool carried in a jacket or suit pocket, or kept in a bag. Both protect the tool's finish and the pocket it lives in.

Fit

Sleeves are sized by closed length and width, and each product page lists the tools a sleeve is designed for. A sleeve should be snug enough that the tool cannot slide out when the sleeve is upside down, but loose enough to draw without a struggle.
